 Well.....

I bought a new pair of shoes. When I got them, I didn't look at the soles, but when I was getting ready to wear them, I noticed that this shoe bottom is the best one yet.

and leaf laurels along the edge.  Have you looked at the bottoms of your shoes yet?  I need to research and see if there are people whose only job is to design shoe soles.

In my next life I want to be a shoe designer, not the whole shoe, just the soles. Can you believe there are already people who do that? They never get the credit they deserve because most people never look at the bottoms of their shoes. I have 3 shoe racks that hang on my closet wall.

I hang my shoes facing the wall so the soles are facing out and I see them each time I go into the closet. There are some pretty mod designs and some just plain pretty ones. Most of these photos are of my sandals and flats as the high heel shoes soles are pretty boring for some reason. Don't look too closely....I didn't want to wash them all.

I know, I know, this is my third post about the soles of my shoes, but I am just fascinated by the whole thing.  These are my newest pair and just look at those flowers.  I still think about the sole artists and the process they use to pick out what the bottoms of shoes will look like.  I think I need to don all the pairs I have with cute soles, walk in paint and make prints.
