This is the home we built in Boise. Dad did the brickwork and fireplace.

October 10th and 11th Wayne and I went to Boise, Idaho for a business trip. I sat in the car and read. (yea, an excuse to sit and read without having to feel guilty). We went to all the places we lived and haunted when we were newlyweds 37 years ago. The parks look the same . We found our first apartment and the subsequent houses we lived in until 1977. The little town of Eagle, has gone from under 400 people to over 20,000 since we lived there.

Needless to say, we had a hard time finding anything familiar. The home that we built there is still the nicest home on the street. That made me feel good.

This is the latest pic of Wayne and me at Easter. We were having dinner at Colett's . Shon and Kee came to town and we had a dinner, kite flying contest and Easter egg hunt. I wish we all lived closer.

We have a new baby boy in our family. He is now 1 month old. He was born on Sept. 6th and weighed in at 6 lb. 15 ounces. His name is Emerson Daniel. Amy and Wes are so proud and happy to have a new member in their family. Grandma can't keep away from him either. He is flanked by his cousins Amelia and Isabelle. (Colett and Matt's little girls)

We are waiting for the weather to cool. It has been above 100 degrees for many days now and the lawns and plants are struggling.

We have had many fires in Utah....over 500 square miles burning in middle Utah and we are smelling and seeing the smoke. Our air quality is pretty poor and we are glad that the grandsons with asthma aren't here right now.

Amy has 6 weeks to go until the baby is born. She and Wes are in the last stages of finishing their home. They bought the worst house in the best neighborhood, gutted it and remodeled it. Hopefully it will all be done before their baby comes.

Matt and Nick are going to California to a comic book convention. Matt will leave first and then Nick will join him. Nick will fly alone and Colett is feeling some anxiety about it. She and the girls will find girly things to do while the boys are gone.

There are houses being built behind our house now and the one directly behind us is too big for the lot. They angled it so that it looks right into our back yard and back door. We are NOT happy and are even contemplating moving because of it. It is sooo close.

Wayne has some contracts in Boise, Idaho so we are thinking of going there for out 38th anniversary. That is where we started our married life and have fond memories of our time there. Can it really be 38 years? I look into the mirror at times and wonder who that older woman is. I still feel very young and my face betrays me.

Amy is 26 weeks along today and is afraid that she is getting too big too fast. She stays with us a couple of days a week now while Wes is at the fire station during his 48 hour shifts.

Amy spends a lot of time with us while Wes is doing his shift at the fire station. He is on for 48 hours at a time. She is 26 weeks along today and the baby is starting to really grow. She is such a small girl that she worried she will have LOTS of strech marks and no room to get any bigger.

Shon, Kee and their family came down to visit for Easter. We took all the kids to the Children's museum in Salt Lake City, colored Easter eggs, went to Colett's ward for church, and had a brunch and day of visiting. Here are some of the pictures of us all.
