Wayne's sister Jill Stubbs was in town for a summit meeting for work but managed to find the time to stay with us for a couple of days. Wayne, Jill and I went to the BYU/U of W women's basketball game on the 4th. It was a very good game that went into overtime and in the end Wyoming won. We were sitting just above the Wyoming team and didn't realize but the video camera kept passing by the team, and thus capturing Jill, Wayne and me eating our popcorn. It was pretty funny but I couldn't get my camera to snap the TV screen fast enough to capture us all. You were right, that it is Wayne just above the shoulder of Wyoming's coach. If the camera had slowed down enough to capture us better, you would have seen us all snarfing down hot dogs and popcorn. We didn't have time to eat dinner before we left and we were so hungry that by the time we finally got something to eat we looked rather silly just shoving it all in. However we were proud of Kristin Scheffler, #12 on the Wyo. team. She is from Lovell, Wyoming and lived right next door to Wayne's Mom and Dad. They watched her high school career and were very proud of her. She is a daughter of Laurie Minchow and a niece to Jimmy Minchow who owns a gas station and restaurants in Lovell. She is a freshman and already one of the best shooters so I am sure she will have a very good career as a Wyoming Cowgirl basketball player.

Kristin is #12 on the team and is a 5'11" guard.

Despite giving up a 12-point halftime lead, the Wyoming Cowgirl basketball team held on for a 57-55 overtime victory against the BYU Cougars on Wednesday night in Provo.
"This is a big win for our program," said UW head coach Joe Legerski. "This is a tremendous place to play and with eight freshmen and sophomores on the roster...it is a big win. I thought at the end BYU made more plays to get the game to overtime, and we are fortunate that one more shot fell for us in the end.
