This is one of my favorite pictures ever. It is my grandmother Hope Ballard Eyre. She was a crack shot and would hunt rabbits to help feed the family in Cowley, Wyoming.
I love all of your pictures Joan, but have to admit this is my very favorite one as well. I just knew you came from hearty and fearless stock! Priceless!
Look at her cute figure. But was grandma left handed? I don't remember that - or is the photo backward? Anyway, it is a real wonderful photo. Makes me cry.

Oops. Mom is me--Susan. I guess I should figure out how to change that, but I usually only respond on my kid's blogs.
