This week....

We have been told to get in touch with our inner feelings, take time to meditate, or

stop and smell the roses.  This is something that I do all the time.  In fact, I have to really concentrate on what I am doing or I find my mind wandering or day dreaming ......a lot.  I also have music running through my mind 24/7 so my thoughts are also accompanied by a soundtrack.  If I look at you sometimes with a blank stare, it's because I am there but the lights and music are on in a different room.  Wait a minute, what was I saying?  Somewhere Over the Rainbow, la la la, la la lalalalala, la la la la la la.

 

   

Another Ostler Birthday

18 years ago, our first grandchild was born.  Oh, he was the cutest thing in the world.  He was as sweet as he was cute, and since Shon and Kee lived with us for a time, we got to bond closely with him.  He is now 18 and a man about town.  We love him so and wish him the best birthday. We also only hope for wonderful things for his future.  He has been a tutoring mentor to kids at a Montessori school and volunteers at United
Blood services.  Just two years ago we didn't know whether he would make it in this world because he had so many health problems.  He just about passed away on his 16th birthday, but now is is doing well and ready to conquer the world.  Happy birthday Alex. If you put your mind to it, you can do anything.

He is in his 30's and wears many hats.

He is a fireman,

He is an outdoorsy kind of guy

And is a regular Joe..er Wesley.

We are glad he is part of our family.  Happy, happy

Today we honor......

A baby boy was born on this day in 1947.  His name is Earl Wayne but nobody knows that except the government and his doctors.  We all call him Wayne.  This year he qualifies for medicare and social security, but we don't think of him as old.  He is quite the go-getter in every way.  Many men his age wish they could keep up with him.
We will be having a family dinner for his birthday as well as Jello Cheesecake with strawberries which he has had for the last 20 years.  He knows what he likes.

Happy Birthday to my really cool husband who is also a wonderful father and grandfather.  May you live another 30 years.  I can't imagine life without you. Hugs, hugs, hugs!!!

It Must Have Been Moon Glow

Did you see the moon last week?  It literally peeked into my eye brow window for a few nights  and shined on me so brightly that I felt like I was under a flood light.  It was just on my side of the bed.  It was pretty amazing.  My Uncle Richard is a fantastic photographer and got this photo of it.  It just blew my mind.  Apparently is was a super moon this month and we will not see it closer or brighter again for years.
